Pit Fire By The Sea
Ojai Pottery & Clay School's First Ever Pit Fire and Scavenger Hunt Tuesday, March 24, 8:30 - 4:30
ABOUT THIS CLASS
Level: All Join your fellow potters for a day at the beach (Oxnard Beach Park) and the chance to participate in a day-long pit fire. Enjoy a day of play (including a scavenger hunt) and relaxation at the beach as the fire works its magic. Each participant is allowed up to three pots none of which is larger than 6" x 6" x 8". The fee includes the following opportunities to prepare your pieces. Tuesday, March 10 at 2 pm: Meet at the OPCS studio to burnish your pots. Tuesday, March 17 by 1pm: Have pots ready at the studio for the kiln bisque fire. Monday, March 23 at 1 pm: Meet at the OPCS studio to prepare pots for the pit fire. Materials and tin foil to wrap pots will be provided. More detailed guidelines and directions will be provided upon registration.
